The Old Cow Exteriors 30 v2

Review Notes:

  • Interesting small old pub with a trendy crowd, in a quiet side street.
  • Very busy, requires booking.  Our table was only reserved for 2 hours.
  • Ambience was good, pubby but dining was set upstairs well away from the bar.
  • Simple and straightforward, no fancy tablecloths.
  • Our party partook of Chicken, Pork Belly and Beef.  Consensus was all good.
  • The largest Yorkshire puddings so far!
  • Vegetable selection ok, possibly a little “potato heavy”.  Carrots were delicious and the ubiquitous kale was in evidence, however it was cooked with garlic as a nice change.
  • Gravy was flavourful and plentiful. No need to request second servings.
  • Good real ale selection. One of the company says “Possibly the second best beer we’ve had”
  • No Guinness, but Milk Stout was quite nice, if thin.
  • Desserts, the choice was limited but the quality grade A.
