Review Notes:
- Interesting small old pub with a trendy crowd, in a quiet side street.
- Very busy, requires booking. Our table was only reserved for 2 hours.
- Ambience was good, pubby but dining was set upstairs well away from the bar.
- Simple and straightforward, no fancy tablecloths.
- Our party partook of Chicken, Pork Belly and Beef. Consensus was all good.
- The largest Yorkshire puddings so far!
- Vegetable selection ok, possibly a little “potato heavy”. Carrots were delicious and the ubiquitous kale was in evidence, however it was cooked with garlic as a nice change.
- Gravy was flavourful and plentiful. No need to request second servings.
- Good real ale selection. One of the company says “Possibly the second best beer we’ve had”
- No Guinness, but Milk Stout was quite nice, if thin.
- Desserts, the choice was limited but the quality grade A.
